Its really rare for us to get a chance to leave our daily boring routines and works in the middle of week and run off for a minute holiday. I’m very closed person and I always chose to be within myself even its an holiday. Usually I’m covered along with my books and definitely mobile. Without mobile not a day!
So, I planned to stay at home and reread some good books. I love books. If it is about fantasy, mythology and rom-com, I just love it more than anything. Except that when it gets damn dragging with the plot.
By only having a 3 full days holiday, I planned to stay at home and read Anand Neelakantan’s Asura : Tale of the Vanquished. Reading for the second time and I’m actually able to understand it better now.
It’s a story of a simple boy, who faced poverty, hunger, humiliation, and various other hardship. Also, it is a story of a man who has nine emotions within him : happiness, sadness, jealousy, ambitious, bravery and so. He who loved his country and his asura clan ; and who defined his rights in his own terms.
Asura ; and eye opener for me. In this book I met this simple boy who turned into an ambitious warrior named Ravana who born to a bhramin father and asura mother. Anand Neelakantan, the author never glorifies him, still he was the star in the eyes of his people. His subjects respecrs him, even though many a times he does wrong like anything ordinary man.
You may know well about Rama, and this book tells as about Ravana. A must read if you’re rational.
Well, this is how I spent my holiday. How do you guys spends your holiday? Let me know what and how you all holidaying ay the comment section.
